\nDescription: This is a test message from MAT-SU County Government. The MAT-SU Emergency Operations Center has issued a Civil Emergency Message due to an 8.5 magnitude earthquake that occurred approximately 100 miles west of Anchorage. Large scale damaged has occurred within the City limits of Wasilla and Palmer. Continued aftershocks should be expected for the next 24 hours. Evacuation Shelters are being stood up at this time.
\nInstruction: Seek shelter at your local evacuation point. Do not enter the downtown areas of Wasilla and Palmer areas. Evacuate your homes if gas leaks are present or electrical lines are down. Additional messages will be broadcast.
